Studio Policies

Daily practice is expected. Students should have a regular daily practice routine. This is a crucial part of musical study.  It will make your learning more enjoyable and your lesson time more valuable. Please ask if you have questions about how to organize this or are having difficulty establishing a routine.

Short-Term Cancellations: Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Lessons cancelled less than 48 hours in advance will still be charged. One exception per year for emergencies.

Long-Term Cancellations: Students should attend lessons regularly. Students who cancel or reschedule lessons more than once a month will not be given scheduling priority or be guaranteed a regular lesson time.

Recitals:  There are three recital opportunities per year:  Fall, Winter, and Spring.  Students are expected to play on at least one recital per year, and highly recommended to play on all three if possible.  Recitals are great opportunities to meet other cellists, hear new pieces, share with others, and grow.

Lesson Fees: $65/hr; $32.50/30 minutes; fees are due at the time of the lesson; cash or check is preferred

Recital Fees: $10 per performer to help cover the costs of rental space
